“CSET QUESTION AND ANSWER INVESTIGATION”

The CSET exam covers a variety of subject topics that you can choose from. You don’t have to spend thousands of dollars on preparing for the test. All you need is a comprehensive study guide that has the exact questions that you will find on the test. You also need a guide to knowing how to understand the multiple choice questions and how to effectively answer them.

You must have a specific strategy or technique for the CSET test to approach the multiple choice questions. What you need to do is to read the questions more than once to understand what is being asked of you. Then you need to dissect the questions into parts by understanding the first part of the question and then putting it all together.

Your next objective is to see which answer better fits the question. There are times when two answers will sound like the same thing. This is where the “rubber meets the road,” and you have to choose a path.

The worst thing you can do is to panic. That is why it is so important to use a practice CSET test resource that will give you more confidence on the exam.

You don’t want to run out of time or get confused over one question or another. When that happens just move on to the next question until you have completed the test and then go back to the question.

DECIPHER CSET TEST QUESTIONS

You need a reliable system that will teach you how to decipher trick multiple choice questions in less time on the CSET test. Before you answer the question, read it thoroughly before you even look at the answers. Use the elimination technique that gets rid of any answer that does not fit until you are left with at least two choices.

A question may look difficult at first glance, but when you read it over, it might not be as hard as you thought. So be patient. Pace yourself and never be intimidated by any question.

WATCH FOR CERTAIN WORDS ON THE CSET TEST

Pay attention and watch for certain words such as “all, always, but, except, every, however, perhaps, only and never.” These words can change how the question should be answered and make it seem more confusing than it is.

In case you are not aware, you can make an educated guess on a question that you are unsure of. You might just get it right. Don’t spend too much time trying to find flaws in the questions. Most exams are just to test your knowledge.

If you really want to learn more about other CSET test strategies and techniques of how to answer multiple choice questions, you can get more information on the CSET test material here.

“NO MORE HAIR PULLING TO TAKE CSET TEST”

California Subject Examination for Teachers (CSET) has become one of the most popular “hair pulling,” exams that individuals are scared to take. Tutoring is one of the methods being used by teachers to pass the CSET test. By law California law indicates that anyone who wants to take the CSET test has to identify their subject knowledge and competency. Does that really make it any easier to pass the test? You would think that it would, but it certainly is not so for some very nervous candidates.

CSET TEST CHOICES

The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) has instituted two ways of fulfilling the test requirement. You can either finish a special program at a learning institution selecting a subject matter that is initially approved by the CCTC (CSET waiver program).

Secondly, you are allowed to take the test and pass it in one or more subject matters. If your choice was the second one, then you would do well with the CSET study guide. You are allowed to choose multiple subjects to take on the test or a single subject such as Math or English.

MASTER OR DREAD THE CSET TEST

If you are not prepared for any test, you are going to be bombarded with feelings of insecurity, fear and anxiety. It is just a matter of fact. Some people get caught up with getting a high score, but if I were they, I would only think about how to pass, wouldn’t you? It is the high expectation sometimes that invokes fear and anxiety.

The way to overcome this and master the CSET test is to:

  1. Practice, Practice, Practice
  2. Hone in on your critical thinking skills because this is one of the important aspects of the test
  3. Get help, if possible, from others who have taken the test and passed
  4. Sharpen your vocabulary especially if you taking the single English subject assessment
  5. Create your own essay writing as part of the practice regimen
  6. Be disciplined in your study habits
  7. Use familiar objects, phrases and things as a point of memory

You don’t have to pull your hair out in frustration to take and pass the test when there is help on the way. The CSET Success System has proven to be more than a help to others like you who have used it to pass the test.

How To Write Your CSET Essay:

Here is a partial preview of the CSET essay formula we teach candidates. Use the P.I.E. method to crack the code of the CSET. Stay on task without adding extra jargon that may hurt your score.1.) The P. in P.I.E. stands for proof. Give proof why your statements are correct by quoting someone or cite a fact related to the answer.2.) The I. stands for information. Tell what you know. Even if it’s something you’re not familiar with tell what you do know. (You don’t get points taken away, only added.)

3.) The E. stands for example. Give an example of what you’re talking about to make it concrete. If you come to a question you don’t have a clue about this essay method will keep you on track and can at least earn you a point. A successful essay should include all components. Their order does not matter. If you must leave out one item it should be the Proof. The information and example are the most important components. This is a very basic outline of what the scorers want to see in your essay. The full details and explanation are in the Comprehensive Success System.

How To Write Your RICA Essay:

We have a quick partial preview of our winning RICA Essay Formula. You need to consistently execute this formula without spending too much time on any one question. The essay questions on the RICA will give you a scenario of a classroom situation. You will need to show you can apply your knowledge. The key to cracking the code of the RICA essay is answer the following questions:The word PASS (P.A.S.) will successfully answer your RICA essay questions. (Believe me, this works.)
1.) P. List the POSITIVES or strengths given a classroom scenario of the essay question.
2.) A. ASSESS the needs of the student(s), write a list of dominant needs.
3.) S. Explain the STRATEGY you will use to address the student’s needs.
Number one: list the strengths of the students (e.g. can read some sight words, have an interest in reading).
Number two: write the needs of the students. What reading strategies/ skills are they lacking (e.g. phonics skills on an automatic level to promote fluency and comfort with reading)?

Number three: write one appropriate teaching strategy for teaching the student(s) based on the needs you identified (e.g. create activity centers that provide practice in phonics skills and previously taught generalizations, choral reading).

Use this method to answer essay questions. Remember, one good strategy based on a dominant need of the students will be sufficient. Don’t just say “teach the students S.Q.3R. to promote the reading comprehension of the sixth grade class.” Describe how you would go about teaching S.Q.3R. Show you know what this strategy is and how to apply it. The RICA is heavy on testing your ability to apply knowledge.
