Let’s face it – you’re not exactly excited to be taking the CBEST test again. In fact, you’re downright dreading it. Not passing your CBEST the first time can take a lot out of you financially, mentally and emotionally. If you’re prepared to walk into the CBEST exam room for a second time, don’t let this danger trip you up…

As a prospective teacher, you know all about how important confidence can be for succeeding in academics. The same rule of thumb applies to acing the CBEST test again for a second time. Yes, you might be a bit more anxious than first-time test takers. Yet just think about all of the advantages that you have over them. First of all, you’ve already experienced what it’s like to not pass the CBEST. The world didn’t end. The sky didn’t fall. In fact, you got right back on your feet to tackle it all over again. Give yourself a pat on the back – that’s the most difficult part!


Additionally, you have the benefit of already knowing what didn’t work for you during the exam time. Did you take too long on the questions? Did you not write specific enough essays? Knowing what you didn’t do the first time around will help you succeed at your second try!


Finally, you have more motivation and inspiration to succeed, which is key in acing the CBEST test. You’ll be so energized to tackle the CBEST test that you’ll forget all about that first-time fluke!
